Heavy-duty, cast aluminum sumps have oil level gauge, blowdown valve and oil fill/drain plugs positioned so they can be easily seen. Cast iron cylinders with cooling fins and top heads ensure that the system does not heat up. Ductile cast iron crankshafts, which have been dynamically balanced and passed through sensitive production processes, provide a long service life. Special alloy aluminum pistons and connecting rods not only put less pressure on the crankshaft, but also provide less heating of the crankshaft with high heat transfer.
