High Voltage Porcelain Fuses Our High Voltage Fuses; It is produced in accordance with TS EN 60282-1 Turkish Standard and ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System. General features of our High Voltage Fuses produced in accordance with TS EN 60282-1 Turkish Standard; Current Limiting Type Afterburner Class High Breaking Capacity Indoor and Outdoor Type Mechanical Indicator Thermally Protected Rated Voltage Value 7.2 kV – 12 kV – 17.5 kV – 24 kV – 36 kV Rated Current Value in the range of 2 A – 160A and higher upon request Our High Voltage Fuses at rated current values; It is used to protect it from thermal and dynamic effects that may be caused by short-circuit currents occurring outside the allowable values in power transmission lines, external and internal transformers, motors, capacitor groups and other switching elements. 36 kV 6.3 A, 10 A, 16 A, 20A, 25 A, 31.5 A, 40 A type tests of our High Voltage Fuses were carried out at KEMA High Voltage Laboratory and our company's High Voltage Laboratory under the supervision of Turkish Standards Institute personnel and were successfully completed. High Voltage Fuse Internal Structure 1 - Fuse Body The outer body is manufactured from high quality C120 porcelain material, which is resistant to thermal stresses and mechanical stresses, and is non-combustible and non-flammable. Their surfaces are glazed and shiny and do not repel dust and dirt. It is not affected by atmospheric conditions, does not absorb water and moisture. Resistant to salts and steam. 2 - Contact Caps ( Headers ) Caps that provide electrical contact are produced from electrolytic copper materials with high conductivity coefficient in appropriate sections. The heads are designed to withstand the mechanical and sealing stresses caused by excessive pressure and are plated with nickel or silver against oxidation. 3 - Melting Element Carrier C120 is manufactured from porcelain material. The melting element is wrapped on it and the excitation element wire is passed through its inner part. It is resistant to mechanical and thermal stresses in case of short circuit. 4 - Melting Element The best material for the melting line is high-purity silver wire. For this reason, pure silver wires of varying cross-sections according to the rated current are used as the melting element in our fuses. 5 - Extinguishing Sand Quartz sand with arc extinguishing feature, free from metal parts and moisture, and passed the necessary tests is used. In the event of a short circuit, it absorbs the mechanical and thermal stresses that will occur due to the quartz sand melting element and prevents it from coming directly to the body. 6 / 7 - Excitation Element It determines both the blown fuses and provides the necessary energy to activate a related trip mechanism. The excitation element is released after the melting element has melted or for some reason exceeded the permissible thermal limits. The energy of the excitation element of our products is medium type according to the TS 60282-1 standard. Our Force-Distance Characteristics of the Striking Pin (Excitation Element) are available in our catalog details.
