Various regulatory bodies require corrugated indicator/guide posts to be equipped with an emissions control system. The ATECO Gauge Pole Float and Sleeve is designed to significantly reduce hydrocarbon emissions from corrugated bobbin/guide poles located in external or internal floating roof storage tanks. This new emission control system is another exemplary product of ATECO's “Innovative Solutions” philosophy and commitment to providing quality products to the oil industry. Key Benefits ATECO Gauge Pole Float and Arm features a “low profile” stainless steel arm that includes a 25 mil AtecoflexTM PTFE (Teflon) liner and pole wiper. This liner provides excellent chemical and abrasion resistance and effectively seals the slots in the measuring post. The sleeve is fitted with a stainless steel slide plate with 10 mil reinforced Teflon gasket. The sleeve completely covers all the slots of the indicator pole inside the indicator chamber, thereby eliminating vapor emissions along the indicator tube. The stainless steel float contains a 10 mil Teflon wiper and is designed to operate at specific weights ranging from 0.60 to 1.00. It effectively "plugs" the indicator pole and prevents vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. Both the buoy and the sleeve are designed to be installed with the storage tank remaining in service. Additionally, the ATECO Gauge Pole Float Basin should be considered as part of this complete setup for additional emission control.
