Applications ATECO Skimmer systems are a proven solution for removing a light liquid product from the top of a heavier product in a cone or dome roof storage tank. The skimmer floats on the top product (eg oil on water) to collect the lighter of two non-mixer liquids into a vortex breaker. The liquid is then discharged from the tank with ATECO's Resist-All-Clad flexible pipe. Skimers are made of stainless steel to operate in the most corrosive product environments. Suction fitting and swirl breaker ensure optimum flow as the liquid enters the sewer. The skimmer inlet can be adjusted to control the amount of liquid collected. ATECO stainless steel flexible tubing has 100% aromatic resistance and contains a smooth internal fluid for maximum fluid flow. The discharge of the light fluid is controlled using a valve in the shell nozzle. Pumps can also be used to draw light liquid out of the tank.
